I’m delighted to have been awarded a 2022 NYFA Fellowship in Playwriting. The support will help with the further development of “To the Playground”.
I’m delighted with this edition of these two plays, originally produced in 2013 and 2019. Order directly from NU Press, via Amazon, or elsewhere!
Yesterday, we closed Notes on My Mother’s Decline after a three week run. Many more photos are available on my Instagram page (@andybragen). And more will be posted soon at www.andybragentheatreprojects.com. In the meanwhile, here’s a production photo taken by Julieta Cervantes. I’m grateful to so many people, including Director Knud Adams, actors Ari Fliakos and Caroline Lagerfelt, who were so brilliant in the piece, our wonderful designers, and of course my co-producers at Playco. It has been a thrilling, and exhausting several weeks. Onward!
Many performances are selling out for “Notes on My Mother’s Decline”, including October 15th. There are a limited number of seats available on 10/15, for anyone, via Johns Hopkins: https://alumni.jhu.edu/event/notesonmymothersdecline. It’s a special night – I’ll be in conversation with my late mother’s doctor, and one of her caregivers. Tickets for that event are just $25.
I’m thrilled to be working with Obie winners Ari Fliakos and Caroline Lagerfelt. Both are terrific, versatile and experienced actors who will bring so much to our production. To read more about the whole cast and artistic team, click here.
